ABRAHAM – A FRIEND OF GOD.

Having read different scriptures on who the father of faith was I come to realize to be a friend of God calls for you to please him with faith ( Hebrews 11:6),be extra Obidient ( Genesis 12) and sacrifice time and your resources for God without forgetting energy.

Four pillars that Abraham built to support his friendship with God.

•Alter – An anointed place /structure where people congregate to service their faith, offer sacrifice and more so to praise and worship for service and sacrifice to be acceptable before God Almighty.

This is why in Hebrews an Alter is called mizbeah which also means sacrifice.

Our father of faith Abraham who worked and walked in the ways of God to a level of God calling him “my friend”,  James 2 :23 and Isaiah 41:8, he was a serious altar planter.

A good example is on his journey to the land that God had promise him, he built four altars including the most common of them all in Genesis 22:9 the altar of sacrifice where he was to sacrifice his son Ytshaq.

Three others where in  Beth El Genesis 13:3-4 the altar of prayer, mamre Genesis 13:18  the altar of communion and Shekem Genesis 12:6-7 the altar of hope.

TEN SIMILARITIES BETWEEN JESUS AND MOSES.

As we walked from church this Sunday, A conversation arose as we neared the way bridge at 35 Simba Cement for a whole hour unknowingly with my brother and friend Saitoti Sayioki on the number and two of Christianity.

FPFK Simba Cement never missed a step when they allowed him to grab the chalk board for Sunday School alongside two marvelous sisters in Christ.

To my surprise the ten points below sprang out of i and Sayioki easily as if we had non planned “Empikas” for Christ.

√ Both one and two were born without shelter but received honourable shelter cartesy of men of Goodwill, wise men and the state read Exodus 2 :1-10 and Matthew 1:19

√  They both at some point of there life ascape to a foreign land for safety.exodus 2:2 and Matthew 2: 13.

√  before the two reached the age of two,a mass killing of boys was ordered and below  by the Herod and pharaoh read Exodus 1:16-22 and Matthew 2:16.

√ Their ministry began by a voice of God and the power of the holy spirit read exodus 3:2-5 and Matthew 3:16-17.

√  Number one found Jews as a roman colony and number two found the  Jews  under the Egyptian oppression.

√ When the two ministered sighs and wonders were their new normal  read exdous 4:4-9 and John 5:19-20.

√ They both went against the Jewish culture to empower, help and bless wemen at well. read Exodus 2:17 and John 4:9-11.

√ They both use un leaved bread to mark Passover, read exodus 12:25-27 and Luke 22:14 – 20.

√  They were both fostered. read exdous 2:9-10 and Luke 2:33.

√. number one came from Egypt to redeem his people and the world, number two came from Egypt to rescue Jews to Canaan.

I know there are more deeper similarities but the ten above are the most rapid for the father of law exodus 20:19 and the father law and Grace. read Matthew 22:35-40.
